Aqua PCs - Affordable Marine IT
The new Aqua range of marine PCs from Digital Yacht bring affordable low power computing to every boat. All models utilise the latest generation of Intel Atom processors and a highly efficient DC power supply to offer exceptionally low power consumption (just 15W to 20W) as well as fast computing capabilities. Whilst fully customisable, three basic models fit the majority of marine requirements.
Aqua Nav
AquaNav is a PC system designed specifically for electronic navigation and electronic charting. It features a 64GB solid state flash drive (no moving parts) for the ultimate in reliability. It also comes complete with built in GPS receiver complete with external antenna and a dual channel high performance AIS receiver with simple plug and play BNC antenna connection on the rear of the PC. It is the ideal solution for use with marine charting programmes such as Nobeltec, Maxsea, Raytech, SeaPro, Maptech and Digital Yacht's own SmarterTrack PC software.
Aqua Applications
Adding a PC to your onboard systems brings a raft of new benefits and solutions. Electronic navigation on a PC is a natural progression from the limited screen size of a traditional chart plotter. Plus you’ll enjoy additional features such as weather overlays, multiple chart windows, data displays and a comprehensive logging capability - and more powerful navigation with comprehensive tidal data calculations built into many programs. Digital Yacht offer their own SmarterTrack PC Navigator package as an option on AquaPCs. It utilises Navionic’s GOLD charting and comes complete with a USB chart reader for their CF or SD format charts. SmarterTrack is optimised for AIS viewing and target information and is ideal for use with AquaNav systems. PC software for marine applications doesn’t just stop at charting - weather, monitoring, control and entertainment solutions are available - you could even catch up with a bit of work whilst afloat!
